Do you loathe going through Airport security?  Are you a member of the U.S. Military?

If so, a recent agreement between the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) could help you get through airport security in record time!

TSA Procedures for U.S. Military Personnel

Currently, members of the U.S. Armed Forces can use TSA Pre✓™ lanes at 10 domestic airports by presenting their Common Access Card (CAC).

TSA PreCheck now open to military at 100 airports

On December 20, 2013, this new partnership will expand the program to the military at all 100 airports offering TSA Pre✓™.  By extension, when family members travel with the military member, they too are able to accompany the military member through TSA Pre✓™.

We’ve included the list of airports below.

This service is allowing service members to keep their footwear on as well as light outerwear, belts, laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry on in select screening lanes.

Additionally, TSA is making efforts to remind the American public about the Wounded Warrior Screening program.

This includes personalized service and expedited screening to move through security checkpoints without having to remove footwear, light outerwear, jackets or head wear.

Wounded warriors or their care coordinators can contact TSA Cares toll-free at 1-855-787-2227 with details of the itinerary once flight arrangements are made with the airline.
