The Spring 2014 Petty Officer Advancement Quotas (Cycle 223) have been released! More than 20,000 Sailors will advance to E4, E5, and E6 with the release of the Spring Petty Officer Advancement Results later this week.

Here’s the Cycle 223 Petty Officer Advancement timeline:

Spring 2014 Petty Officer Advancement timeline

  • Today (19 May)- Quotas released publicly
  • Thursday, 22 May (a.m., Eastern Time) – Command triad notified via BOL of their command’s results.
  • Friday, May 23 (a.m., Eastern Time) – Individual Sailor advancement notification on BOL, Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS) and NKO.
  • Friday, May 23 (~1000, Eastern Time) – Public release via Navy social media, web and NavyMentor.org.

Reflecting increasing competitiveness and force shaping, the overall advancement opportunity decreased by 4.3 percent, from 27.71% to 23.41% as numbers continue to move closer to the ten-year average.

Overall PO1, PO2, & PO3 advancement quotas are as follows:

Active Duty Quota Trends

  • E4 active – decreased from 40.23% to 35.54% (-4.69%)
  • E5 active – decreased from 25.06% to 19.89% (-5.17%)
  • E6 active – decreased from 19.20% to 15.83% (-3.37%)

Full Time Support (FTS) Quota Trends

  • E4 active – decrease from 52.55% to 50.28% ( -2.27%)
  • E5 active – increased from 24.93% to 26.42% (+1.49%)
  • E6 active – decreased from 14.98% to 12.49% (-2.49%)
